New Orleans has made remarkable improvements over the last nearly five years, and on Saturday, October 23, 2010, it will commemorate this milestone with the opening of Living with Hurricanes:
KATRINA & beyond, an exhibition at the Louisiana State Museum. To mark the opening of the exhibition, a heartfelt celebration, presented by the Museum, the Louisiana Museum Foundation and the Friends of the Cabildo, will take place in Jackson Square at 8 PM. A Patron Party will precede the event at 6 PM at the historic Presbytère in the Louisiana State Museum.
Guests in attendance at the Patron Party that evening will be the first to preview Living with Hurricanes: KATRINA and Beyond, a state of the art and technology rich exhibition funded in part by a grant from the National Science Foundation, in collaboration with and support from the Netherlands.
