Celebrating the life and work of noted Louisiana artist and jewelry designer Mignon Faget, this major exhibition features hundreds of objects-including jewelry, prints, linoleum blocks, drawings, glassware and textiles.
Faget’s collective body of work reflects her dedication to her native culture. In a career spanning more than four decades, she has repeatedly found inspiration in Louisiana’s elements-its flora, fauna, food, architecture, history and culture-transforming them into distinctive, wearable art.
Organized by the Historic New Orleans Collection, the exhibition presents the artist’s commercial work and commissioned pieces for Mardi Gras krewes, museums and numerous charitable organizations.
