Every donation helps!

 All donations  to the Louisiana Museum Foundation are tax deductible. Donations are used to promote the State Museum, fund Museum programming, further community and educational outreach, and currently, we’re helping to create a world-class Jazz Museum! From $10 to $20,000 every donation is appreciated.

The LMF was created as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit to accept and administer grants and community donations that the Louisiana State Museum, as an agency of state government, was unable to accept and administer for themselves.

We also ensure that received donations are expended per the donor’s wishes since the Louisiana State Museum has no mechanisms in place to guarantee that these wishes are honored.

Additionally, as an IRS designated 501(c)(3), the Foundation is an annually audited place for donors to give contributions, bequests, grants, and other donations.
